On Thursday, actor Shreyas Talpade experienced a heart attack and is presently undergoing recovery at a Mumbai hospital. Deepti Talpade, his wife, shared a health update on Instagram, expressing gratitude for the concern and well-wishes. Her statement conveyed that Shreyas is now in stable condition and is expected to be discharged in a few days. Deepti acknowledged the exceptional care and timely response of the medical team, emphasizing their gratitude for the expertise provided.
In her message, Deepti Talpade also appealed for the privacy of their family during this time of recovery. She requested understanding and respect for their personal space. Expressing gratitude for the unwavering support received, Deepti concluded the statement with warm regards, signing off as Deepti Shreyas Talpade.
“We kindly seek your understanding for privacy during his recovery. Your steadfast support has been a significant source of strength for both of us,” she added.
Talpade experienced discomfort and collapsed at his residence, leading to his family taking him to Bellevue Hospital. According to an official quoted by PTI, he arrived at the hospital late in the evening, and an angioplasty was performed last night. He is currently in stable condition and receiving care in the ICU.
Talpade, who was filming for ‘Welcome to the Jungle,’ suffered a heart attack later in the evening, as per a source informed to NDTV. The movie, the third installment in the popular ‘Welcome’ franchise, features Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Suniel Shetty, Raveena Tandon, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Disha Patani, and is directed by Ahmed Khan.
Known for his work in Hindi and Marathi cinema, Talpade gained critical acclaim with the 2005 sports drama film ‘Iqbal.’ His filmography includes notable works such as ‘Dor,’ ‘Om Shanti Om,’ and the ‘Golmaal’ franchise. Additionally, he made his directorial debut with the 2017 film ‘Poster Boys,’ starring Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol.
