Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the second edition of Kashi Tamil Sangamam in Varanasi on Sunday. Additionally, he ceremoniously flagged off the Kashi Tamil Sangamam Express, connecting Varanasi and Kanyakumari.
PM Modi remarked, “Kashi Tamil Sangamam strengthens the sentiment of ‘Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat’.”
He further expressed, “Going to Varanasi from Tamil Nadu means going from Mahadev’s one home to another. That’s why the bond between the people of Tamil Nadu and Varanasi is special.”
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, and other prominent leaders attended the inauguration of Kashi Tamil Sangamam 2.0 at Namo Ghat.
In a separate event earlier today, Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the Surat Diamond Bourse and a new terminal building at Surat Airport in Gujarat.
