New Delhi: In the midst of rising tensions between the Narendra Modi government and the united Opposition, three additional Members of Parliament from the Opposition were suspended on Thursday due to disorderly conduct, bringing the total number of suspensions to 146. Reports indicate that DK Suresh, Nakul Nath, and Deepak Baij, all three belonging to the Congress party, have been suspended from the lower house. This action comes in the wake of the recent suspension of numerous Opposition MPs who called for a discussion on the December 13 Lok Sabha security breach and voiced criticism against Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s management of the situation.

Opposition does protest.

The most recent round of suspensions transpired following a protest march led by Opposition Members of Parliament, as they took to the streets to voice their dissatisfaction. The suspension of legislators advocating for a discourse on the security breach and expressing criticism of the Home Minister’s remarks became a focal point for leaders within the Opposition.
