Last year, almost one in 21 workers at the facility reportedly suffered injuries, a rate notably higher than the industry median of one in 30 workers in the automotive sector. Current and former Tesla employees allege that the company frequently compromises on construction, maintenance, and operations, placing workers in precarious situations.
Additionally, the report notes a separate incident in 2022, where a submerged water-in-molten-aluminum occurrence led to an explosion in the castings area, producing a sonic boom-like sound.”
