On the onset of the New Year, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma of Rajasthan visited shelter homes in Jaipur, overseeing their operations and distributing warm clothing to those in need. His inspection included visits to Ramniwasbagh and JK Lone Hospital, where he engaged with officials to assess the conditions of these facilities. Additionally, he personally provided blankets to individuals with disabilities, offering them warmth and support.
Accompanying the Chief Minister was Chandrashekhar, the Rajasthan BJP Organisation General Secretary, as they took stock of the shelter homes’ status.
Meanwhile, in Udaipur, Rajasthan, vibrant celebrations marked the beginning of 2024, as the city adorned itself with light displays, dance performances, and jubilant gatherings to usher in the New Year. Ajmer also joined the festivities, welcoming the year with exuberance through fireworks, dazzling light shows, and lively dance performances.
Prior to the New Year’s festivities, CM Bhajanlal Sharma conducted a public audience, Janta Darshan, in Jaipur, attentively listening to the concerns and issues of the state’s people.
Having taken the oath as Chief Minister on December 15, 2023, during a swearing-in ceremony in Jaipur, BJP MLA Bhajanlal Sharma secured victory in the Sanganer assembly seat with an impressive lead. He garnered 145,162 votes, surpassing his Indian National Congress opponent, Pushpendra Bhardwaj, who received 97,081 votes.
During the elections in Rajasthan, the BJP clinched 115 seats, while the Congress secured 69 seats, establishing a clear victory for the BJP. The state saw polling for 199 out of 200 assembly seats on November 25, with the majority threshold set at 100 seats.
