British marquee McLaren pulled the covers off the spiritual successor to the 720S, called the 750S, in April last year. The brand is set to launch the model and announce the pricing on 10 January, 2024.
Asserted to be the most potent series-production McLaren until now, the 750S is driven by the identical 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 as its forerunner but has undergone enhancements for a refined output of 740bhp and 800Nm of torque. Paired with a seven-speed automatic transmission, the model can achieve 100kmph from a standstill in merely 2.8 seconds, with the 0-200kmph mark being reached in a commendable 7.2 seconds.
Apart from the bump in power, McLaren has made multiple changes in the mechanicals of the 750S, such as a sports exhaust that is now standard, tweaked chassis, lighter pistons, higher-pressure turbochargers, and new twin fuel pumps among others.
The 750S undergoes cosmetic enhancements, featuring more streamlined LED headlamps, an updated front bumper with expanded air intakes, and a sizable active rear wing. Internally, the model receives modern amenities such as wireless charging, seamless integration with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, luxurious full Nappa leather interiors, and an audio system sourced from Bowers and Wilkins. Additionally, it offers the McLaren Control Launcher system, allowing personalized adjustments for the powertrain, handling, transmission, and aerodynamics, all accessible at the press of a button.
