Ather Energy has been providing glimpses of the 450 Apex electric scooter, building anticipation for its upcoming launch on January 6. The Ather 450 Apex, positioned as the top-tier model in the 450 lineup, is anticipated to deliver superior performance compared to other Ather scooters. The teasers hint at the introduction of a Warp+ mode, suggesting enhanced acceleration beyond the capabilities of the 450X with the Warp mode. Alongside quicker acceleration, there are speculations that the scooter might achieve a higher top speed, surpassing the current model’s indicated 90kph on the speedometer.
A closer inspection of the teaser also reveals the scooter’s silhouette, indicating that Ather hasn’t made any significant design tweaks. However, it is anticipated that the scooter may feature different colors and painted wheels to enhance its visual appeal compared to the rest of the 450 range.
The equipment list is expected to mirror that of the 450X, incorporating features such as the color TFT display, Bluetooth connectivity, and the recently updated navigation system.
It is evident that Ather will likely price the 450 Apex significantly higher than the Ather 450X, which currently retails at Rs 1.70 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai), inclusive of the Pro Pack.
The Ather 450 Apex is set to face competition from the Ola S1 Pro.
