Dodge recently revealed the latest 2024 Durango SRT 392 AlcHEMI, marking the initiation of a collection of exclusive “Last Call” editions commemorating the conclusive manufacturing year for V8-fueled iterations of its 3-row SUV. This unique Durango SRT 392 AlcHEMI showcases distinct design elements and interior features, setting it apart from the standard SRT 392 version. It is anticipated that the Durango will likely be the concluding model in Dodge’s lineup to highlight the HEMI V8 engines, given the reported cessation of production for the Charger and Challenger in the previous year.

This distinctive model is driven by the identical 6.4-liter HEMI V8 found in the Durango SRT 392, boasting a power output of 469 bhp. Serving as the forefront of a sequence of restricted-release editions, this variant signifies the farewell to the V8 Durango models as Dodge embraces the shift to electrified powertrains in alignment with the strategic direction of parent company Stellantis.

Manufacturing of the Durango SRT 392 AlcHEMI is limited to 1,000 units, presenting itself in four exterior hues – Diamond Black, Destroyer Gray, Vapor Gray, and White Knuckle. Exclusive design elements feature honeycomb exterior striping adorned with yellow accents, black satin wheels, yellow brake calipers, black exhaust tips, and distinct badges.

Internally, the AlcHEMI showcases stitching in both yellow and silver accents, seats adorned with embroidery, a suede steering wheel featuring an LED logo, forged carbon fiber trim, and various other distinctive appointments.

Dodge plans to introduce more Durango “Final Call” versions in 2024, featuring iterations inspired by the high-performance Durango SRT Hellcat variant, just before the conclusion of V8 model production. This commemorates the V8’s pivotal role in shaping Dodge’s performance SUV heritage as the brand undergoes a complete shift towards electrification.

Prospective buyers can locate AlcHEMI allocations through dealers using the online Dodge Horsepower Locator, available from late February. Production for the limited edition is slated to commence in April, with the models set to grace showrooms across North America in May 2024.

The AlcHEMI underscores Dodge’s goal of commemorating the V8 engine across its lineup in 2024, including the Charger, Challenger, and now Durango.
