In a heartbreaking incident, two young students hailing from Wanaparthy in Telangana and Srikakulam in Andhra Pradesh were discovered dead in their accommodation in Connecticut, United States. The devastating news was relayed by a family member on Monday, identifying the deceased students as G Dinesh (22) from Wanaparthy and Nikesh (21) from Srikakulam.
The family members of the Telangana student, Dinesh, are grappling with the shock of his sudden demise, as well as that of his roommate. The circumstances surrounding their deaths remain a mystery, leaving the families in distress.
The tragic news unfolded when Dinesh’s friends, residing in a nearby room, contacted the family on Saturday night to convey the unfortunate demise of both Dinesh and his roommate. The family, currently clueless about the cause of death, is seeking answers to the sudden and unexpected loss.
Dinesh had embarked on his journey to Hartford, Connecticut, for higher studies on December 28, 2023. Nikesh, his roommate and fellow student, joined him a few days later. Strikingly, their friendship had developed through mutual acquaintances, leading them to become roommates upon their arrival in the US.
Facing the distressing situation, a member of Dinesh’s family revealed that they have sought assistance from Union Tourism Minister G Kishan Reddy and Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to facilitate the repatriation of Dinesh’s body. Additionally, Wanaparthy MLA Megha Reddy has extended support to the grieving family, offering comfort during these difficult times.
Importantly, the family emphasized that they have had no communication with Nikesh’s family, given that both students had only recently moved to the US. As investigations and formalities unfold, the families await more information to shed light on the tragic circumstances that led to the untimely demise of these promising young students.
