Nissan Motor India has announced the appointment of Saurabh Vatsa as Deputy Managing Director. Vatsa, an alumnus of Delhi University with an MBA from the International Management Institute, has previously served in a key leadership position at Stellantis. He played a crucial role in the establishment and leadership of the Citroen brand in India during his time with the company. Prior to joining Stellantis, Vatsa had affiliations with General Motors (GM), where his responsibilities encompassed various roles, including extended assignments in South Korea.
Vatsa had a prior affiliation with Citroen ever since its establishment in India.
Directly reporting to Rakesh Srivastava, Managing Director of Nissan India, Vatsa is set to play a vital role in the implementation of the ongoing transformation roadmap for Nissan in India. This appointment is in line with the company’s efforts to realize the Mid-Term Plan (MTP), aiming to introduce a range of electrified vehicles by the year 2030.
