Expressing concerns over the impact of adverse weather conditions on schooling, Delhi Education Minister Atishi directed officials on Saturday to devise a hybrid learning plan. This plan is envisioned to integrate the Delhi Model Virtual Schools (DMVS) program with the traditional physical school model of the Delhi government, as per an official statement.

Atishi emphasized that weather-related disruptions, such as heatwaves and fog, frequently affect the regular flow of education in Delhi. In response, officials were instructed to create a comprehensive hybrid learning strategy to mitigate the adverse effects of weather on students’ education. Through the DMVS initiative, the Delhi government aims to transform all schools into hybrid learning environments.

The minister highlighted the significance of the DMVS program, stating that it enables the government to provide quality education to students, particularly those who may face challenges in physically reaching the school premises. Atishi affirmed the government’s commitment to delivering top-notch education through DMVS, ensuring that children’s learning experiences remain unaffected by unpredictable weather conditions.

Launched by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in 2022, DMVS currently caters to virtual schooling needs for students in classes 9 to 12. Additionally, the program offers test preparation support for competitive exams such as NEET, JEE, and CUET to students in Delhi government schools.
