On the design front, the Spectre has the biggest Rolls-Royce grille ever—the Pantheon grille—installed up front. With 22 meticulously lit LEDs, it is aerodynamically efficient. It features two electric motors and a 102kWh battery that produces 576bhp in total.

Rolls-Royce recently made its debut in the Indian electric car market with the much-anticipated model—Spectre. Positioned strategically between the Phantom and the Cullinan in the manufacturer’s lineup, this fully electric two-door coupe is priced at Rs 7.50 crore (ex-showroom) in India. Spectre boasts two electric motors and a 102kWh battery, delivering a total output of 576bhp. Serving as a spiritual successor to the Phantom Coupé, it is constructed on the Rolls-Royce 3.0 platform, with a strong focus on electrification and connected technology. The third iteration of this platform showcases a remarkable 30 percent increase in stiffness compared to prior Rolls-Royce vehicles, achieved through groundbreaking engineering and the integration of aluminum components. The adaptable construction not only enables a sleeker underfloor profile but also facilitates low seating positions and a captivating interior experience.

Rolls Royce Spectre: Exterior Design

Regarding the design aspect, the Spectre showcases the most sizable Rolls-Royce grille to date—the Pantheon grille—positioned at the front. Outfitted with 22 meticulously illuminated LEDs, it achieves optimal aerodynamic efficiency. Beyond its aero-tuning, the Spirit of Ecstasy features a bonnet gracefully descending to the grille, a departure from the standard Rolls-Royce with its flat, upright front. The cumulative drag coefficient of 0.25 establishes it as the most aerodynamic Rolls-Royce ever.

Drawing inspiration from the Phantom Coupe, the split-headlamp configuration incorporates ultra-slim LED DRLs positioned high and a primary headlamp cluster below. Initially appearing dark, the latter conceals headlight housings composed of darker chromium, resembling jewelry boxes. Furthermore, extending from the A-pillar to the luggage compartment, the largest single-body panel ever crafted for a Rolls-Royce houses the tail lamps. These vertical tail lamps lack color and assume the shape of gems. Additionally, the Spectre features 23-inch wheels—a pioneering feature for a two-door coupe in production in nearly a century.

Rolls Royce Spectre: Powertrain Details

The Spectre is propelled by a 102kWh battery pack, energizing dual electric motors. Specifically, the rear motor is finely tuned to produce a maximum power of 482bhp, complemented by the front axle-mounted motor contributing 254bhp. The cumulative outcome results in a robust 576bhp of maximum power and an impressive peak torque of 900Nm. Additionally, the opulent automaker affirms that the vehicle can achieve a speed of 100km/h in just 4.5 seconds and boasts a remarkable 530-kilometre driving range on a sole charge.

Furthermore, the car features a 22kW AC and 50kW DC charging capability, capped at a maximum of 195kW. Notably, the latter two charging options demand 95 minutes and 34 minutes, respectively, to fully replenish the car, while the former necessitates over five hours for a complete charge.

Rolls Royce Spectre: Interior

The cabin of the new Rolls-Royce Spectre boasts a starlit headliner, a fully digital instrument cluster, a large touchscreen infotainment system, lighted door panels and a dashboard on the passenger side. There are also some customising choices accessible.

In terms of technology, the Spectre has SPIRIT, a system that manages car operations and interfaces with the Whispers app. Despite the Spectre’s 2,975 kg weight, the Planar suspension system, with its advances in hardware and software, guarantees a smooth and elegant ride.
