CEAT has recently introduced a fresh assortment of tires tailored for high-end commuter and sports motorcycles. These innovative tire models go by the names Sportrad and Crossrad.
The Sportrad radial series is meticulously crafted for superior motorcycles within the 300cc-400cc range, emphasizing cornering grip and stability as its key attributes. The company asserts that achieving this involved implementing slick shoulders for extreme lean angles and refining the groove design for enhanced wet grip. Moreover, this tire demonstrates exceptional stability even at elevated speeds. Currently, the Sportrad tires are available in two sizes – 110/70 ZR17 and 150/60 ZR17, with a set priced at Rs 12,500.
On the other hand, the Crossrad tires cater primarily to motorcycles with a penchant for both on-road and off-road experiences. To meet this dual requirement, the tire offers a 60-40 split between on-road and off-road capabilities. The Crossrad features an asymmetrical block tread design and transversal grooves, contributing to superior control in challenging off-road terrains. Presently, this tire is offered exclusively in the 140/60 R17 size and is priced at Rs 4300.
