On Monday, the consecration of the Ram temple in Ayodhya unfolded in the esteemed presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The grand event attracted thousands of distinguished guests from various corners of the country, and among them was the venerable actor Rajinikanth. Upon his return to Chennai on Tuesday, he engaged with reporters at the airport, emphasizing that the event was of a ‘spiritual’ nature, devoid of political motives.

Rajinikanth shared his profound experience of being among the initial 150 witnesses to the historic unveiling of the Ram Lalla idol. Speaking in Tamil, he expressed, “I had a great darshan. After the Ram temple was opened, I was among the first 150 people to witness [the Ram Lalla idol], and it gave me immense happiness… For me, this is spirituality and not politics. Everyone can have different opinions, and it doesn’t have to match every time.”

Addressing circulating social media content suggesting seating issues during the event, Rajinikanth dismissed such claims, stating, “There is nothing like that.” During his time in Ayodhya, he had previously remarked, “It was a historic event, and I am very fortunate. Will definitely come to Ayodhya every year.”
