In a recent development, NITTE University has officially commenced the online application process for its BTech program for the academic year 2024-2025. Aspiring candidates meeting the eligibility criteria can submit their applications through both online and offline modes on the university’s official website, nucat.nitte.edu.in. The application deadline for NITTE University BTech admissions is set for February 6, 2024.
Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible for the BTech program, candidates must have successfully completed their Class 12 or equivalent examination. The minimum requirement is 50% marks in optional subjects such as Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry / Biotechnology, Biology, Computer Science, and Electronics. For reserved categories, the eligibility threshold is 40%. Additionally, candidates should have English as one of the languages of study and should be at least 17 years old.
Admission Categories:
NITTE University has categorized admissions into three groups:
- General: Reserved for Indian nationals who completed Class 12 in India. This category constitutes 80% of the total seats.
- Inclusivity: For students who completed Class 12 in India but are not from Karnataka. This category reserves 10% of the seats.
- NRI: NRI candidates are eligible for direct admission based on their marks in PCM subjects in Class 12. This category includes Foreign Nationals, PIOs, Indian Overseas Citizens, candidates who completed Class 12 outside of India, and candidates sponsored by parents or blood relations with NRI status.
Admission Procedure:
Candidates will be shortlisted based on their performance in the NUCAT (NITTE University Common Admission Test) and Inter-Se-Merit. The first NUCAT test is scheduled for February 17 and 18, followed by the second test from April 12 to 14 and the third test from June 14 to 16.
