– Brake fluid leak issue flagged

– Leak from ABS module noticed during quality check in Japan

– Dealers to contact owners and fix the issue for free

The 2024 Suzuki Hayabusa is under scrutiny for potential concerns related to the ABS module. As per Suzuki Motor Corporation, there is a possibility of brake fluid leakage from the ABS module due to an incorrectly fastened ABS hydraulic unit flare nut.

The company identified this issue during a standard quality assessment, noting that a production worker had deviated from the prescribed procedure for tightening the flare nut. Instead of employing the designated multi-wrench method, the worker opted for a single wrench, resulting in inadequate torque and subsequent leakage.

It is evident that the brake fluid leakage could compromise braking performance, a significant concern for a motorcycle capable of reaching speeds of 300kmph effortlessly.

Suzuki assures that rectifying the problem is relatively straightforward. Authorized service centers will reach out to owners to adjust the nuts to the specified torque, at no cost to the owners.

Currently, the recall has been initiated in the USA. However, given that the Hayabusas are manufactured in Japan and distributed globally, there is a possibility of similar issues affecting units sold in other regions like India. We will provide updates on this matter pending communication from Suzuki India.
