The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) has canceled the General Knowledge paper of the General Graduate Qualifying Combined Competitive Examination (JSSC CGL) 2023 due to a paper leak. The cancellation applies to the examination held in the third shift on January 28, 2024. The new date for the examination will be announced soon on the official website.

Candidates have been waiting for the JSSC CGL 2023 exam for a long time, and it commenced on January 28, scheduled to conclude on February 4. However, on the first day of the exam, concerns of a paper leak surfaced, leading to the cancellation of the General Knowledge paper.

Former Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Babulal Marandi, has demanded a CBI investigation into the paper leak case. He stated that many students shared answer sheets on social media and WhatsApp, emphasizing the need for a thorough investigation.

The JSSC CGL exam comprises three papers: language paper (Hindi and English), regional and tribal languages paper, and General Knowledge paper. Those clearing the prelims will proceed to the mains exam and subsequent document verification.

Jharkhand CGL 2023 aims to fill Group B and C posts, including JSA, Planning Assistant, and Block Supply Officer, with a total of 2025 vacancies. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognized university to be eligible for JSSC CGL recruitment. Salary structures vary based on the position, ranging from Rs 19,900 to Rs 1,42,400.
