In response to the vacancies in the squad, Sarfaraz Khan, Sourabh Kumar, and Washington Sundar have been added to India’s roster for the second Test. Sarfaraz and Sundar, who were previously part of the India A squad, showcased impressive performances in a recent Test series against England Lions. Sarfaraz notably scored a remarkable 161 runs, leading India A to victory, while Sundar contributed with both bat and ball, securing two wickets and scoring a valuable half-century.
Meanwhile, pacer Avesh Khan will continue to travel with his Ranji Trophy team, Madhya Pradesh, but remains on standby to join the Test squad if required.
