In the previous month, BMW India made an announcement regarding a planned increase in the prices of its entire car lineup, with an upward adjustment of approximately 2 percent. Subsequently, the automaker has disclosed the specific magnitude of the price adjustments. As a result of this recent update, the i7, the flagship electric sedan from the brand, experiences a rise in cost of around Rs. 10 lakh.
The i7 is offered in two different variants, specifically the xDrive60 M Sport and M70 xDrive. Notably, the former encounters the aforementioned price increment, while the pricing for the latter remains unaltered. Following the adjustment in prices, the starting cost for this opulent electric sedan is now Rs. 2,13,00,000, reaching up to Rs. 2,50,00,000 (both figures are ex-showroom prices).
Within the interior, the i7 is equipped with a 31.3-inch BMW theater display in the rear, a 36-speaker Bowers and Wilkins diamond surround sound system, a 14.9-inch touchscreen for infotainment, a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, front and rear seats with a massage function, and an ambient lighting setup.
Powering the BMW i7 is a battery pack with a capacity of 101.7kWh, aiding the dual motors in generating 675bhp and 1,100Nm of torque. It boasts an impressive range of 560km on a single, fully charged battery. Accelerating from 0-100kmph takes just 3.7 seconds, and it achieves a top speed of 250kmph.
