The Maharashtra Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MBSHSE) has announced revisions to the timetable for SSC (Class 10) and HSC (Class 12) board exams for the year 2024. Notably, the extra 10 minutes of reading time has been canceled, and the exams will now be conducted in two shifts.
Revised Exam Timings:
- SSC Morning Shift: 11:10 am to 2 pm (previously 11 am to 2 pm)
- SSC Evening Shift: 3:10 pm to 6 pm (previously 3 pm to 6 pm)
- HSC Morning Shift: 11 am to 2:10 pm (previously 11 am to 2 pm)
- HSC Evening Shift: 3 pm to 6:10 pm (previously 3 pm to 6 pm)
Exam Dates:
- SSC (Class 10): March 1 to March 26, 2024
- HSC (Class 12): February 21 to March 19, 2024
The decision to revise the timings aims to streamline the exam schedule for students. The SSC exams will start from March 1, and the HSC exams will commence from February 21, with both morning and evening shifts.
The Maharashtra State Board is expected to release hall tickets for Class 12 examinations soon, and the practical, internal, and oral exams for HSC are scheduled between February 2 and 20. In 2023, the Class 12 board exams saw a pass percentage of 91.25%, with 93.83% of students passing the Class 10 SSC exams.
