Following Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s recent decision to align with the NDA, a significant change was observed at RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav’s residence in Patna. The nameplate displaying the title “Bihar Deputy CM” was visibly concealed with newspapers on Monday, symbolizing the shifting political landscape in the state.

The alteration became apparent on the heels of Nitish Kumar’s swearing-in ceremony as Bihar Chief Minister for the ninth time at Raj Bhavan on Sunday. This event marked a pivotal moment as Nitish Kumar severed ties with the Mahagathbandhan, the alliance he had previously supported, and formed a new government with the BJP.

During the swearing-in ceremony, Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha also took the oath as Deputy Chief Ministers, signaling the structural changes within the state’s political hierarchy.

Tejashwi Yadav, in response, criticized Nitish Kumar, labeling him as a “tired Chief Minister” for his political maneuverings. Tejashwi Yadav expressed confidence in the future downfall of the JD(U) party, foreseeing its demise by 2024.

The RJD leads with 79 MLAs, closely followed by the BJP with 78, and the JD(U) with 45.
