Hyundai Motor India has officially commenced the booking process for the upcoming 2024 Hyundai Creta facelift, and interested customers can secure their booking by paying a token amount of Rs 25,000. The refreshed version of the popular mid-size SUV, which dominates its segment, is set to be unveiled on January 16.

India Today was the initial media outlet to break the news about the impending launch of the new Hyundai Creta facelift in 2024. Prospective buyers can place their reservations either at any authorized Hyundai dealership or conveniently through Hyundai’s online platform, Click To Buy.

The Hyundai Creta was initially launched in India in July 2015. Its immense popularity can be gauged from the fact that every third mid-size SUV sold in India is now a Hyundai Creta. As of now, over 950,000 units of the SUV have been sold in the domestic market.

The 2024 Creta facelift adopts Hyundai’s globally recognized design language, known as ‘Sensuous Sportiness.’ The SUV showcases a fresh grille design, accompanied by revamped quad-beam LED headlamps. Notably, there are updated LED positioning lamps, and a connected LED strip now links the DRLs. The taillights mirror the front LED DRL setup, forming a cohesive unit. Both the front and rear bumpers undergo redesigns, and the vehicle sports new alloy wheels. These substantial exterior updates contribute to a significantly refreshed appearance for the SUV.

Inside the cabin, notable changes are evident, particularly on the dashboard, featuring an integrated infotainment screen and a digital instrument cluster. The addition of a new touch display for HVAC functions enhances the overall premium feel. The redesigned steering wheel further complements the interior upgrades. In terms of safety, the SUV comes standard with six airbags, while the top-tier variants boast an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS).

Hyundai presents the 2024 Creta facelift with a vibrant color palette, offering six mono-tone options: Atlas White, Abyss Black, Titan Grey, Ranger Khaki, Fiery Red, and the all-new Robust Emerald Pearl. Additionally, there is an exclusive dual-tone choice with Atlas White and Black Roof. The refreshed Creta comes in seven trims, namely E, EX, S, S(O), SX, SX Tech, and SX(O).

Exploring the engine lineup, the 2024 Hyundai Creta introduces three powerplant choices. Making a return is the turbo petrol option, housing the 1.5-litre Kappa Turbo GDi petrol unit, delivering a robust 160PS and 253Nm. This engine is shared with the 2023 Kia Seltos facelift. Complementing this is the 1.5-litre MPi petrol engine generating 115PS and 144Nm, along with the 1.5-litre U2 CRDi diesel variant producing 116PS and 250Nm.

The latest Hyundai Creta offers a choice of four transmission options, including a 6-speed manual, intelligent variable transmission (IVT), 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT), and 6-speed automatic transmission (AT).

The upcoming Hyundai Creta facelift is set to compete with rivals such as the Kia Seltos facelift, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, and the upcoming Tata Curvv, among others. The anticipated price range for the 2024 Hyundai Creta facelift is expected to be between Rs 11 lakh and Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom).
